I'm using a Derale combo cooler (6 pass oil, 4 pass tranny). It fit perfectly between the rad and ac condenser. To keep the air flowing, I'm using two 12" SPAL s-blade fans.

i think he means oil cooling fins like, just fins u weld to the pan? im not sure

ive never heard of those, but i have seen pans like that before

Ya HKS uses some stick on ones with heat transfer tape. Not sure how well they work (if at all) but worth looking at.

Not recomended for cars that run normal temp, are daily drivers, and/or are used in cold temps

Well it seems to me that Mazdaspeed2oo35's car does not run normal temps, is not used in cold climates, and the daily driver thing is debatable. It would be worth considering at least.

a triple pass radiator VS single pass radiator would surely make a difference too, especially with this caliber of a build...

^taking out a t-stat is super easy, and you probably shouldn't do it until you know what your temps are, which you may find out in 2011 :D

keeping in mind the extra flow it takes to pump thru. would most likely require an external helper pump, stock is too weak. flow cools better than surface area. I agree tho, wishing I had that too.

The more I think about it, why would you bother to ship your Mazda to Spain anyway? You have access to some of the hottest Euro Hatches in the world, and you continue to dump thousands upon thousands into a Protege. Time to throw in the towel? Most of the new VW stuff is amazing, and even something like the Focus RS would run circles around your MSP, without breaking either.

Like c'mon, how can you say no to a car like this:

What you've spent on the MSP you could have bought 3 by now I'm sure...

+1. It's a sealed system, the pump is sucking as well as pushing. Would be no different than stock.

Not excatly. It does slow gpm in the system cause of the added length and extra turns of the coolant system. Its call friction loss in a hydronic system.

But were talking not noticable.... lol
