I'm just saying don't let them get to you. It is not worth it. No one should care how someone else spends their money.
I did not mean a specific mechanical problem.
 
But thats the thing, What problem i had in my Build ? According to Wossner that piston was deffective and thats why it failed, Have you seen anything else causing problems ? Ive bought what i should and what was available people are going another route in here and start talking s*** for no reason is not about is my car and money, what gets me mad is if my build is so badly done why all of them almost have what i have you get my point if you know and is easy to build an engine like this or make it better why none of them have once again i wonder why..


When i first started this thread and posted pictures and info everything was awesome, good, well done, now that one deffective piston fail everything ive done is s*** and not done correctly and im being cheap, s*** give me a break

Well you know me man, You think what have been said about my build is fair ? You think im being cheap ???? I still want to see any of those people to do anything better than what i have done and achieved Period !!!!!!!!!

You dont need to be sorry man, what i said was not towards you, but is pretty damn easy to come here and bash you know, if is so easy to build a race car why they still have the same s*** and not done it the way they are telling me to ? I wonder why.

internet like i said none of them pays my bills or hobbies so they can all say what ever they want...

yes i remember when you first started on your car i had gotten mine.. you were one of the first with rx8 wheels and i was close after..(east coast) (2thumbs) feel same way about the wheels.. altho mine was primarly used as a daily.. at least i can tell you i built my own personal pride and joy pro street 1980 corolla (700hp 48 psi).. i kno exactly how hard it is to spend alot of money in to a car with all of the best..And i do my own work.. once you have a reliable motor you can start adding the psi and tuning.. to get to your desired amount.. safely..


and do this be for you close your motor: http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/claymotor/clay.php atleast it will tell you if your valve is touching your piston..

very sorry to hear of this. I just returned with my new engine. Not even 300 miles on her yet. Keeping my fingers crossed, and you have my full support to try to regain your amazing machine again. I don't think I would have the same dedication you do, and would just go back to na. Your tenacity is amazing and something to be respected and looked up to. Simply put a man and his machine. The world will be against you, and some will support. You will proudly stand alone at the end of the day. Knowing you left your unique mark on the world. :)

Again, you need to realize that this IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

600HP is nowhere near reliable on the FS engine. The sooner you realize that, and change your goal to build an actual reliable 400HP or so, you will be MUCH happier with the car.

guess it depends on what you consider to be reliable. i'm sure you could get it to "reliably" make the power - the thing's got a cast iron block and its relatively bullet proof... if you had enough money you could probably do it...

BUT

the question is whether it will be drivable. We know that the transmission simply wont hold that kind of power - and then there are the inherit limitations of a front wheel drive platform (i doubt you'd ever be able to put 600hp down on the street...)

If you got money in spades, build the motor to WITHSTAND 600hp, and then run it at 400hp - then you'll know it'll do 400 all day long without wondering when its going to explode.
 
I feel your pain with all this. I run into some of the most basic things turning into the biggest pain in the ass. You buy something cheap or expensive from a company, thats used by other members with out any problems, and yet there you are stuck with having to figure it out why its failing. I think any of us turbo guys running over 12psi respectively, and wanting to go more have encountered this at some point.

My reason for chiming in is in hopes to help you by saying even the guys offering advice are doing so out of experience. Some may offer advice with a stronger way of wording it, but they are usually the ones a bit more passionate about what they do.

I wish you the best of luck. I have approached my final build with this car and would like to do it right. All my supporting mods are 500hp plus capable, yet my intentions are to never exceed 450hp. I will most likely want to keep it at 400, just in hopes that it will be enjoyed longer than what it took to build it.

I wontstop until i build this car the way i dreamed..... I Already reached what i wanted when i first started to have 500whp now my last goal is to have 600 HP then i will stop, of course i will be adding the missing parts for this puzzle, Better brakes and what ever the car needs to make it better overall.. Its Better and easier to just finish this project off than selling it and start all over with another car i dont know and probably more expensive to build than this one.
 
What did you make power wise? I think the 505zoom mani will get you there without much more work.

on my last dyno car did 515whp and 409 Lbs torque.. Im going to add Richs Intake Manifold, JDM Cams in order to pass inspection in here i know there are better cams like Crower, Integral or Twiggies but i wont pass emissions with them, im also adding lightweight pulleys including crank. Then after Big Brake Kit, Wider wheels and tires and if i have the cash a Quife LSD and depending when my tranny let go Full Par Tranny internals.
 
cams shouldn't have that much of an effect on emissions... I'd at least go with a stage 2 integral or something... honestly you're choking off your engine on just a JDM cam.

I talked with Steve at Integral and he told me Stage 2 or stage 2.5 or 3 i wont pass emissions and idle will be ****** up i cant afford to have a bad idle cause in here they will reject the car just for that if he says i wont pass emission i should belive him i guess..

I would seriously consider looking elsewhere for transmission upgrades before sinking to much into the G-series.

Something along the lines of this. And just some food for thought. The mazda KL tranny is very similar to ours

My car won't even pass E-test, so I don't know how yours will? My buddy and I went in to his work on a Saturday and tried and tried by messing with Fuel/timing and couldn't even come close to passing. Come to find out that cause I changed interals and had my Engine bored I could class as a hotrod and passed that way......

i know guys here have passed emissions with em... do they actually use a sniffer on you, or do they just read codes off the OBDII?


s*** in here they will inspect your ass, things in here are more tough than any inspection place in US. they use sniffer on you and they ask you to accelarate the car to a certain RPM to see if the Co2 gets higher, they make you pop the hood and they will ask you for the homologation certificate of anything they see or think it didnt came with the car. i was lucky i brought my car the way i did and i have everything visual legalized.. The problem that i have here is that they know my car is fully moded and they will look with a damn magnifying glass everything in my car to **** me up and i know with very aggressive cams i wont pass the inspection.
