Mazdaspeed protege to a mazdaspeed miata?

Hey guys i have a mazdaspeed Protege right now and looking into selling it for a speed miata. I would like some of your imports on, good move or not.
i live in michigan with a 2002 mazda protege as my daily winter beater. and summer i drive my speed all the time. Love the car but looking for another speed with a convertible.

Plus you can take off the alot of the aftermarket stuff, and toss it on your beater. haha
