Has anyone tried getting a hold of Calloway concerning the ECU being used on the Mazdaspeed? Who ever gets a Mazdaspeed and lives near FMprotege should drop buy their shop and let them have look at the ECU. I know I'm probably dreaming here, but maybe we can buy the ECU from Calloway if it'll match up with the MP3's.

no, thats a great idea actually, somebody really should contact calloway to see if they would be willing to spill the beans about the msp ecu. i dont know if they would be willing to sell them though.

It would be great if they could copy the programming and flash a MP3/Protege ECU and that would solve our ECU deleama perhaps. Thats a great idea. Or Maybe if they are not willing to give it up Calloway could just provide flash programming to upgrade at a small fee. Probally cheaper than purchasing new ECU.

Actually the programming rights belong to Visteon, so they would be the ones to ask, and FM has, at least concerning the current Protege 5 ECU. And Visteon said "NO WAY!"
FM has somethings in the works, I don't know if they would appreciate me letting the story loose on here or not, so I'm keeping tight lipped unless they say all is well.
If you were able to get your ECU reflashed to the Mazdaspeed Protege on a turbo car, you would want to run the same injectors as the MSP...

I just figured that out tonight when i looked on the FM page and saw him installing his turbo on his car. I like having access (via PM or Forum) to a person on the inside it makes getting information fast alot easier.
Alot of people have him to thank for alot of good info we would not have had in such a efficent manner. Thanks Chris! ( I was getting teary and singing god bless America)
