I am wondering what you guys think of the two CAI? Which one you think will perform and yet sound better. I am looking forward to buying this as my first mod as well as a BOV? any suggestions on that also? Possibly a FMIC cause i live in sunny AZ and can really fell a power reduction after sitting at a stop light for only a minute or so. Let me know what you guys think.

If your warranty isn't an issue for you then i'd say go for the CP-E. I mean they are both CAI and i can't see really any difference in power between the two.

The Mazdaspeed CAI is covered under warranty though, so that's kewl

Brother work as a service advisor the Mazdaspeed dealership don't think warranty is a big deal if he writes my ticket. Any thoughts on the FMIC (front mount intercooler)

FMIC won't help as much unless you get a bigger turbo and really modify the car. An Ntercooler sprayer would work good though if your only mod is going 2 be CAI, and FMIC!!

The best mod's 2 get first would be:

CAI.........
DP..........
TBE.........
Test pipe..
ETS top mount intercooler
water/meth injection kit
xede fuel management system.

as far as the warranty aspect of the mazdaspeed CAI, its not really anything more than the others. they will give you less crap about it, but it shouldn't be a big deal either way. but thats irrelevant for your situation anyway.

as far as intercooler options, with basic mods it is more beneficial to go with the top mount. the FMIC attempts haven't shown a lot of promise, with the recent exception of the new CP-E front mount...we shall see on that one.

plus the cpe has an engineered maf housing which suposed to reduce boost spikeing wich is a clear PROBELM on my car and i have the mazdaspeed cia

if you plannin on the EMS at some point in time get the CP-E.

word CP-E has an airflow straightener, that keeps the fuel trims much closer to stock than any of the other CAI's they tested.

and it works really great with their ECM, alot easier to tune i hear...or maybe pre-tuned i don't know (i'm not tuned).

but i love my fujita intake, so i'm sticking with it. even after my tune, which COBB will be doing for me (most likely on a CP-E piggyback ROFL!)
