Canada- 479.99/month with 5 grand down, 5.9% rate and that is the base MS6
Not a good deal at all imho
Mazda3 said:They just dropped the rate to 4.9%. You also get a .5% break for being a repeat lease customer, so the rate would be 4.4% for you Newf.
Newf said:hmm, that's better. Must go up and have a chit chat![]()

Cars at dealers aren't there to drive just for the hell of it, test drives are for people who are actually going to buy the car. My local dealer wouldn't have let you drive the Speed 6. You would have to sign the offer to purchase, leave a deposit, and have your credit approved first. Buy the way $5000 down will get you a lease payment of about $600 a month, not $400.
Do you really think they should let everyone who feels like it test drive this exclusive car? Thats just bad business. Each dealer is only getting between 1-4 of these and you want them to mile up a demo for punks to test drive? LOL.....wow.
And buy the way the Civic Si has an ugly cheap ass interior.
Hahaha... wow. Did I strike a nerve there? It was clear they were interested in showing the car to a few people, as it was one of the ones they ordered that wasn't spoken for. I guarantee I would never have gone through that if I was 35 or so. And "price range" is usually just something I do to make myself pretend I'm looking at more practical cars. We're all car enthusiasts here and it would be no fun if you followed a strict budget!
I don't even know what to say about people who would buy a car without even test driving it, it's ridiculous even thinking about it. I don't care if it's limited production or whatever. This isn't a bicycle, it's a $45,000 car taxes in, I'm damn well going to make sure it's the right one for me. They're not getting a cent until I'm sure I want the car. And I don't think there's anything wrong with shopping for a car that way.
And saying the new Civic Si has an ugly, cheap ass interior goes to show how much of a fanboi you are. Have fun with that Mazda 3

You are either a typical Mazda sales rep or a very poor consumer.
I cannot imagine being stupid enough to put a downpayment on something that is 40k before even testing it. I can't imagine putting a downpayment on it even after testing it...maybe a week later after thoroughly testing the competition as well.
If a sales rep wouldn't let me test drive it, I wouldn't let them at my money and I would also call Mazda to complain.
wow...still laughing at this comment...

Newf said:fyi, I have a test drive scheduled for March 2nd. Not techincally scheduled really, but that is when someone from Mazda Canada will be in town and he's getting them to get the car our of the showroom and pass me the keys.
Yes, I am going over the dealer....again.
Mazda3 said:You're entering dangerous territory Newf, that test drive could break you!! (laugh)
Mazda3 said:I'm laughing just as hard at you. Re-read my reasons. If a dealer only gets 2 of these why would they mile one up as a demo?
Would you pay full price for the demo car after 50 of us test drove it?
Its because of the limited numbers I made this comment, if it was a regular production car then that would be different. Allthough if it were me I would still be qualifying anyone who test drove it. There's too many people out there who think test driving cars is like browsing at Wal-Mart.
I don't know what its like where you are, but here you can't test drive a 350Z at Nissan, you can't walk in to Chev and drive a Corvette, you can't test drive an S2000 at Honda etc.....
I don't think its unreasonable with a limited production car like this that you should have your mind 95% made up before you drive it. If you can't do that then its probably not the car for you.
Da 6 said:I been to most dealerships and the most difficult one was dodge and the SRT-4. A whole 2 days of "I have the money can I test drive" got old especialy when they had the for sale contract in front of me to sign before I testdrive it! My friend who was there when I got turned down went to mazda with a photcopy of his drivers license extention and was sideways out the lot in a RX-8 in a matter of minutes. Same dealership has a demo speed 6. If you go in with 4 of your friends then theres a chance they might assume you just wanna beat up on a car to kill time and stunt in front of your friends.
