Mazdaspeed 3 Mazda upgrade rims

Another wheel made by Ray's and one of my favorites for the MS3...Volk Racing RE-30's are only 15.5 lbs. for 18 x 7.5...but they're also $699/each at Tire Rack. :P

I'd love to have a pair of the Gunmetal finish ones for my black mica MS3 though!

wish they were 16s or 17s, I'd love to get them. I think they are beautiful

I don't think anything smaller than 17's will fit the MS3.

Those wheels aren't bad at all, and 7.7 kg for a 18x7.5 is awesome. I just think that unless you get 75-100.00 off each corner, you could probably get a similar wheel for less money. I don't the dealership is the place to go for most accessories, especially wheels.

16s will fit on an MS3. Several of our canadian friends used 16 inch steelies with their snow tires.

:D llol no excuses now :P

Why not try sell the stock rims and buy the mazdaspeeds?

My stocks are still perfect. Not a curb or scratch mark on them. Any clue how much I can get per wheel?

with tires probably 6-800 for the set. OEM wheels are reeeally pricey from the dealership but that doesn't mean anyone thinks they are worth even 1/3 the retail price (yes)

I've seen sets go for $500 shipped. When they first hit the market people were asking 800-1000. This is without tires or TPMSs.

Anyone here know if 18x8 or 19x8 will fit a speed3?

Hmmm, In my opionion a 19" wheel would be to big. If you install a small drop with just the Mazdaspeed springs on a MS3 the OEM 18" wheels are borderline tucked into the wheel well. If you go lower, YIKES!!! The car is very stiff already and to go with 19" would mean you would need an even lower profile tire etc. If your more into looks then maybe a 19", but if you plan to drive your car, I wouldn't go higher than an 18" wheel. Again that's just my opinion.

you will be safe with 18x8, but wider than that I'm not so sure, especially if you are lowered. BSTD3 has some 18x8 +45mm with 235/40 rubber on it and the outside of the rim is pretty much flush with the fender. This means most of the rim is towards in the inside, which prob doesn't leave much room. I wouldn't go wider than 18x8 with 245 series rubber

I have had 18x8s for the last 1700 miles. They fit so far!

I was thinking that, 19's would look nice but could be too big and i prolly would have major rubbage. i was thinking of getting the Work Meister 2pc s1's, maybe drop the car 1 inch with 18x8's prolly would look real nice. I wanted 19's but could be too big.

I think 19s look awesome. I think 18s work better from a performance standpoint. I think 17s are better still. I wanted looks without too much of a performance sacrifice so I stay with 18.

I'm pretty sure 16/15 inch rims are the best for performance but I doubt they would fit around the brakes on the MS3. If you ever see a civic hatch with like 16 inch Spoon Sports rims or any other Small super light rim, you can tell he did his car the right way. Not that I'm condoning the purchasing or modification of Civics. There's just a right way and a wrong way to do it. 20's and an adjustable GTR wing with neon underglow would be the wrong way.

(iagree) Back in the day when I raced my VW Scirroco I ran 13" 40 series tires... Lot's of fun and of course those were the days when a 15" wheel was considered HUGE! :D

$190 per wheel is decent profit. If you look at anything from Rays, they are expensive and all of there wheels will carry a similar type of markup. Cheap things are'nt good, and good things are'nt cheap. If you're nice about it though, some dealers will negotiate on parts prices, especially on high dollar accessories like wheels. FYI: smokey chrome is not available yet.

Really? 34.5% profit margin is decent?

I just got a 2008 MS3 and I just dislike the wheels so much. It also came Black Mica (I got it for $15K new, so I wasnt complaining much) but DAMN in that car hot in the Texas heat...

I want new shoes and a white paint job :)
