Hello All, In the past two year I upgraded from my msp to a 08 black mica ms3 gt. I only received one key from the dealer. I wanted to know (i did search and found nothing) if I can use the mazda flip key style instead of the current key and remote? Thanks in advance for the help

Their was a thread discussing this, if my memory serve me right the cost out weighs the benefits from a Flip-Up key. But, the conversation can be done if you have money to spend.

if you have no keys, you are effed and must visit dealer

if you have 1 key you can go anywhere that makes chipped keys and have a second key made

If you have 2 keys you can make your own backup after a locksmith phtsically cuts the key (what purpose this serves is a mystery, and I have a blank I bought, so call me weetawded)

only the blessed peaceful inhabitants of our secondary oil reserve are allowed to own flip keys
