Mazdaspeed 3 Carbon Fiber Vented Hood

Its a GV replica from Nextmod. It has some fitment issues that are only noticable when you are right up on it. I had it custom painted matte black to match all the other matte black accents on my car.

but im definitely feeling your setup..
I'm obviously gonna have to strip the red stripe when my new hood comes in and I think im gonna go with your black stripe.. its nice and subtle but still badass
did you do the back part of the stripe as well(above the rear wheels) I didn't feel it was worth the money but if i get black i might as well

lol mid_life_crisis. some people actually like to do stuff that aesthetically pleases them. and in this specific example, some people find that the look of carbon fiber contrasts their car's original color really well, or goes well with some other under lying theme with the styling of the car. you keep trying to fit a square into a circle by reiterating the point that 100% of the people who opt for the fake carbon fiber look is 1) looking for weight gains FIRST and then 2) looking for aesthetics when its 50/50 that #2 might come first for some of these people.

I ordered the one with a scoop
I think on red it looks to weird in carbon fiber.. like that red one, all he has done is the hood and thats it... it looks funny to me
I think on black mica it will look sick..

I would want a C-F hood for the weight savings alone. There is a scooped one on S-U that weighs 16-18# vs stock of 72#. The cooler air will only help the TMIC also as a bonus. I would paint mine to match the body color.

I'm hoping the 2010 scooped MS3 hood fits my '09. Maybe I could order one pre-painted MGM to make it real easy to swap.

I doubt that will happen seeing that the frone ends are so different, the lines just might not line up.

And i really see no way that the hood will work.. looks shorter
the front end is pretty darn different... the headlights curve differently as well.
I am doubtful but i am curious to see if its possible somehow
