Mazdaspeed 3 Addiction

So back in 2008 I purchased my first ever Mazdaspeed3 Sport.

Added some goodies to the car later on to make it breathe better.

Coming home late from memorial day 5/28/12 a lady decided to cross an intersection with disregard to her light being RED and just missed the truck beside me and instead meeting up with my car. I t-boned her 2010 Corolla. Had witnesses so she got a citation and her insurance paid off my 2008 MS3, and I ended up with positive equity.

So I've been looking at CX-5s so I can grow up then a rare shipment of a Red 2012 MS3 Sport came in to the dealership that I bought the original 2008 MS3. Well, I couldn't help it and decided to put $3k down and now I got my Zoom-Zoom back!

Fresh off the truck with only 5 miles.

I ARE HAPPY.

I would have totally agreed with the CX-5 if you could get the awd version with a turbo. But very nice trade off. Hate to see a speed get destroyed but now you get a brand new car. Someone over on another forums got rear-ended and went from a regular 3 to a WRX. Equally nice trade-up. lol I wish they made the gen2 speeds in true red instead of velocity.

So any mod plans or are you going to pretend like this is a grown-up vehicle and not mod it? lol

Sorry to hear about the original speed but glad things worked out for you.

I was looking at the new WRXs also but it cost more to insure. Living in Florida doesn't require AWD so I'd rather save the gas money and insurance. The MS3 has more features for the price as well compared to the WRX. I also know the loan officer at the Mazda dealership so I got a good deal that includes Gap Insurance and extended warranty. Not going to mod the car yet and when I do, it'll be exhaust, SRI, BPV.

I love this story, I have two kids, a mortgage, a job that ruins all my free time, and a wife that spend all our money on little girl shoes on amazon.com. But here we are, with a project RX7, a commuter M2, a Grand Tour-er MSP3 and a garage full with remnants of my old MSP Protege and Rotary engines.... Growing up is for grown ups

Yep, my issue was the other way around. Wife went and bought a CX 5 and I saw the speed 3. Mines coming in on Friday hopefully. 2013 velocity red.
I saw your images when you posted on another forum as dhonnie, it made me smile. Same car, same neighborhood and also same birth month LOL We must be a match made in heaven (dance)
