Doesn't sound too challenging. I think I'll make that a project one weekend. Maybe this one. Just cover the engine with a trashbag and it'll be okay? I went to the meet at jenro's this past weekend. It was pretty awesome, and I raced one of the guys I saw there yesterday.

yep its not that hard. and yeah you can cover it if you want from preventing anything to get in the internals. but i didnt lol. and awesome man. you won?

For the rims i used grimmspeed gold paint, and for the drums and calipers i used the gold flake that advanced auto parts carry.

There are Ozs for 5 lug man and easier to find than the ozs i got on 4 lug, i love it cuz these kinds are discontinued

Haha I wouldn't call it a win. I had the jump on him and we were holding even. I could just see him in my rear view. It was the new scion tc. He would probably smoke me off the line though.

Surprise the protege could hang given that it has 130 vs 180 up haha. Not to shabby
I tried an acceleration test one time vs my friends 05 tsx auto. I had the start at first but you could tell he would've passed me. Mind you we only went up to about 40 km/hr before we had to stop (it was in the back lot of some old factory)
I wish our cars were better off the line. But mine was rolling at 60 mph.

The only 2 cars I have raced where my wife's RX8 and my buddy step side truck for fun after work. Lol but I keep up with the truck. I used to be able to keep up with the wife a little until we bought her wheels that where 12 lbs lighter each wheel. Now she walks from me. That being said my car has never seen any rpms past 5k and has never felt the gas pedal hit the floor. Lol
12 lbs lighter? That's really good! I've raced the new scion, and older acura integra, a civic and I think one more in my car. I raced a pro5 in my parents bmw, haha that was good.

So guys i was having issues with my suspension! i was getting a clunk noise. and it was do to my front end links been shorter when i got my car lowered. So i asked for a solution and i also read about the 2002 ford escape links would fit but i was scared since i have a 99 protege. i was recommended to use longer end links so i went ahead and got me some escape end links. i started putting them today, i only got one side done cuz it was a b**** to install lol. i had to ask a buddy of mines to help lol, tomorrow i will be installing the other one. so far i went to test drive it and it feels weird lol but hopefully tomorrow will get better when i get it all done .
