Mazda6 V6: CP-E MAFci intake vs Unichip + AEM intake

Allright so I did a search and the only thread I found said they both made about the same gains. Is this true? Unichips dyno graph looks like it makes more, but their dynos look kinda iffy. I've also heard good and bad things too.

Im considering:

CP-E intake with the maf adjuster chip

OR

AEM/Mazdaspeed CAI + Unichip piggyback

I've seen alot of threads on this site about the CP-E intake but not too many on the Unichip so thats why Im making this thread. The Unichip + intake will end up being a few hundred more than the CP-E intake, so Im trying to see which is the better option. Im also assuming the Unichip might be more flexible since it can be tuned for other parts later on?

i've never seen that tunable chipped cai your talking about..but get the fujita lol, its awesome. or cp-e since they will give you practically identical gains. you won't ever notice that big of a difference in aftermarket cold air intake performance. its like the most worthless mod...lol but you absolutely need it too.

Err..we're talking about the AJ engine here. The MAFci kit comes with an induction pipe and a MAF controller with a preset tune. It most definitely beats the Fujita intake and it makes a world of difference.

As you mentioned, the only plus side to getting the Unichip is that you would be better positioned to tune your car for future mods. You'd spend more if you're looking for just an intake and AF tune with the intake/Unichip route (parts + dyno tuning). Whereas the MAFci would just cost you the part itself, because CP-E already tuned with it.

well theres no dyno tuning involved with the unichip unless you want to get it retuned later on for your other mods. It comes preloaded with a fuel map for a V6 mazda6 with (atleast) a cold air intake.

in my own experience the fujita still utilizes the MAFsensor? and is therefore tunable via piggyback.

i read this thinking speed6 originally, and didn't know what uni-chip you were talking about lol.

misunderstanding as far as my first post was concerned (drunk) sorry haha
