Mazda5 Hawaii Prices?

I am in Hawaii and looking to buy a Mazda5. For any Hawaii owners out there, I am curious if you paid MSRP, above MSRP, or below.

I lived on OAHU. Trust me. I paid way over and above MSRP. The price for a lowest of the line 2012 Mazda 5 is the Sport model for $19,000. Say with tax and shipping, and destination and licensing fee plus $2500 so out the door about $21,500. Honolulu Cutter Mazda secretly won't tell you there is a $5000 extra on top of all the taxes and fees. So all in all after we signed papers and gave us the key the minivans price went up to a whopping $27,000 out the door for a Sport model.

Waipahu Cutter Mazda about 50 miles apart there was a black 2012 Mazda 5 Grand Touring with every possible features you can think of was installed. Leather seats, HID, fog lights, side sills, roof deck spoiler, 17 in'wheels. Price at $27,900 out the freaking door. Do the math.

One more thing sir. There is no such thing as " Below MSRP " in Hawaii! Are you kidding me! Not just car buying but everything else in Hawaii is overpriced and that's a fact!!

There are some dealers that are set up with Costco out there that will not price gouge in Oahu. Check it out.

Not sure if you bought your car yet. I just picked mine GT about a month ago. Let me just say that Cutter Mazda will try to jack up the price on you. I was able to negotiate it down by $7K from their initial price. You just need to do your homework and not give into those greedy bastards sales pitch. They started with a 20% dealer markup..BS! Even the invoice price is BS, they said they were selling me the car at $100 over invoice...BS, any good business would not be able to afford selling a car for $100 over invoice. Its just an arbitrary marketing number to make you think you're getting a good price. They also tried to get me with a $1600 protective clear coat...BS! It's hard to say if I got mine car under MSRP because my deal included a trade-in. They'll spill all kind of BS on you, just hold your ground and be prepared to walk if they are not reasonable. I would not recommend that dealer but then again, the only other choice is JN Mazada which I'm sure they are just as sleazy. I grilled them on their customer satisfaction survey. I wasn't being mean, I was just being honest on the survey. When I went to pick up my plates, I got the total cold shoulder action once they realized who i was. Let me know how your experience went, hopefully you're experience will be better..

I bought my Mazda5 for about $21,500 out the door from Cutter Mazda. I did not encounter any additional taxes, fees, or a $5000 charge from them. My finance/life insurance charge through my credit union did push the price up about $3000 which was expected. If the salespeople would've came out to help me at JN Mazda, I suspect I would have gotten the same price too. Service from both dealerships are questionable, especially at Cutter Mazda.

Got my Touring from Alamoana Cutter as well. $23100 out the door with pearl white, auto start, all weather floor mats, and wheels locks. Stay away from JN! FYI the auto start is junk. Ended up replacing it with a viper 5704 remote start/alarm.
