Mazda3 Buyer's Guide?

Hey all.

Is there a "buyer's guide" for the Mazda3 anywhere on the forum? You know, model changes by year, things to watch out for, etc.? I know more or less all there is to know about the various 3rd-gen Proteges, but I know very little about the 3, and I'm considering shopping around for one in the near future. I just didn't know if such a guide existed, and didn't find one searching, or by looking at the stickies.

I was looking for information about what to look for/expect when buying a Mazda3 as well. What is the best year? I had an '06 hatch with D23/manual before, and liked it very much with no problems. I was wondering if there were 3s to avoid or some sort of buyer's guide that could show the differences? This site has many threads with zero replies, kinda discouraging. What's up with the Mazda community, no one helps much?
