hi ppl,

I've been around a few time to check out the Mazda3 Sport (what a name..why call it sport?) Anyway, I noticed something very weird.

Last night when I was at the dealer, I noticed the break and the gas pedal are pretty close to each other. Anyone got that feeling too? or maybe it's just me (shrug)

What are going to happen in winter when I'm going to wear my winter boots?(hand)

The Sport is an old Ford name for that model. There was a Sport model Torino back in the 70's.

Having the break pedal and accelerator close together is great for heal and toe...

... if you don't have an automatic. :)

I wanna say there is a government regulation for seperation of gas and brake pedals. It may only be in height difference. There has been many a recall for pedals to close and someone hitting the gas instead of the brakes and having an accident.

also if you put aftermarket pedals on and son't space them...have you had troubls with breaking? Only thing I could see is if you hang your foot off the right corner of the brake and hit the accel by accident other than that i'm cool. I never had that problem and I switch in between 5 difrent vehicles in a 24 hr period. all I can say is when braking aim far left...where is yor left foot in this process...Dead pedal right? try getting close to your left foot when stopping...and far right on accel. that is my only complaint is the pedal is almost flushmount with the center console for both cars...

No, there was no "after market" pedals covers of anykind?

Any inputs from Mazda3 AT owners?

I remember once the Taurus had a recall on that (the space between the brake and accelerator were too close)
