no, he doesn't want to spend that much on an intake...although k&n is cheeper then AEM and ingen...might as well buy an ebay cold air intake...but don't know yet...
you should prob get a new filter...i mean, if you are going to mod your car, looking for the best price for what you want is fine...but i mean, some things are worth the extra money...a filter is not that much...its worth it to get a better one than the ebay one...thats just my opinion...and its inJen not ingen

okay...sorry for the misspeling...lol...he's going to get the ebay cold air and go buy an k&n filter...i think thats good enough...i don't think he is giong to do much with the car...

okay...so he might buy the ractive intake..but there is no hole that i can see that the sensor can but put in...or is it out of sight...
The Ractive intake works great and it an easy install. It has everything you need to replace the factory garbage, and it will give you the same performance as the more expensive intakes. Basically they all perform the same, it is jsut a matter of the brand you want. I am running a Ractive intake now and it has caused me no problems, and it looks sharp as well!

hehe its true an intake is an intake, but i just cant bring myself to slap "ractive" anything on my car. i just dont like the ricey name lol

Thats fine, if you want to blow an extra 150.00 some odd dollars for a nice sticker that says 'INJEN' or 'AEM', because that extra money is going for the brandname, as most of the intakes are manufactered by the exact same metal stock and pulled form the same manufacturers. They are then bought by the respective companies (AEM and the like) and are priced accordingly, maybe given a nice shiny paint job to make the consumer think they are getting something 'extra". But as you said, an intake is an intake, so why not save yourself some cash, I mean, if they all do the same thing, then why pay for a name?

The only reason that I would argue against what you have to say is that on the aem and injen site they have dyno proven #'s now ractive and e-bay they have no proof and most importantly for people in california they are illegal since both Injen and AEM have carb approved stickers that's the only reason.

oh no, you took me all wrong. injen and aem are way over priced. i just hate ractive. i would definatly buy a ebay intake if it looked nice, but i would never buy a ractive intake... just because they make the nastiest sounding mufflers i have ever heard and all of their parts suck in quality

LOL...yes, they make the crappiest mufflers ever...those are all rice, ghetto buzz bombs! The intake has performed well, but I agree with you completely about their other products. The only reason I got this intake was a buddy of mine got one and he said that he had had no problem with it. So I said what the hell, I got one and it has been very reliable. Trust me though, if I had the extra cash, and my girl would climb off my back about spending on the car, I would have installed an injen or aem!

okay, we finaly got the cold air intake last tuesday...and put it in on saturday...it took a while because i didn't know where to but that one fluid container that collects coolent if it overflows...but i finaly found out by going on ebay and looked at an mp5...over all, i think the intake looks sweet...and along with the intake he also ordered a black euro light...looks great too...now he wants some headers...but the ones i found looks funny and stock...but maybe thats how its suppose to look...i don't know (uhm) ...

just keep in mind that if you install a header and remove the catalytic converters you will need to rig up an MIL eliminator to avoid throwing a check engine light.

these after market headers look stock...right...becasue most of the ones i found look stock...not like the hondas after market headers...
