Here's what I have:Nice! I'll update the original post with that info
What is the firmware version you have for 2021-current models with the 7th gen infotainment systems?
Yes, 12.2V is low for a car battery. I would drive it to charge it up and do it another day or put it on a trickle charger. I like Batteryminders. I have six on them on various cars, atvs, generators and mowers. They do make the batteries last longer by desulfating them. Been using them for 20 years. Was about to update my firmware, but checked my battery voltage first...Is 12.2V a bit too low to risk leaving the car in ACC for a long period?
helloInstallation instructions (copied from original thread):
Yes. Don't forget to include your region and current firmware version.I am hoping to update my 2020 cx5 to the latest mazda connect if possible. I just DM @Candurin ?
To gain access to these files, please PM @Candurin. Do not post in this thread asking for the links or files. your post may be missed. Keeping track of PMs is much easier.
Note that firmware versions are region specific, so when you send a PM to @Candurin for the links, be sure to specify the following:
1. Your car model
2. Your current firmware version installed (format should be XX.XX.XXX or 7XXXXXX-NAXX_1XXXX or something similar)
3. Your region
Can I do update with running engine? just in case as I am not sure how good is my battery.thanks
As long as it can provide enough power to run the car's electronics. That can be to to 20 amps.Ok. Thanks. I will connect battery charger then.hope that would be good solution.
I would try different usb stick, definitely compare checksum of file on usb stick and try again.Well, I'm pretty sure I bricked my car trying to update. Everything seemed to be going well, when I went to open the door & step on the brake to prevent the system from sleeping, the car said "System Failure" "Make sure the USB with the update package is inserted". It made it to 54% and is in an automatic loop trying to complete.
I've googled around, tried pulling ROOM fuze, other USBs, nothing works.
I'm all ears if there are any suggestions.
Good news is there are a lot of CMUs on e-bay, I'm guessing that's the fix.
2018 Mazda6 Touring
From 70.00.021
To 74.00.324
CMU is still in car, online shows part number BHP1-66-9C0B or A.
Do I need a "B" part, there are a ton of other suffixes?

horvi001, thanks, I tried other USB sticks, only the original automatically tries to complete the process, others do nothing. I carefully checked the MD5 and SHA1 of file on the stick before starting.
Maybe I'll do all that later, or not. My ebay CMU worked perfectly, plug and play, everthing's fine herethen i think you will need to do this:

Hello, today i wanted to install the v70. I pressed the Start-Stopp Button one time and successfully installed the failsafe package.
