Mazda Extending Corrosion Warranty...at least in Canada.

Found this on a Canadian Mazda 3 forum. Users are getting letters from Mazda stating they are extending the corrosion warranty from 60 to 96 months. I

haven't gotten anything in the mail yet, so I do not know if this applies to US owners as well.

Yes, we're all getting it up North here where they love to salt the roads. LOL.

General consensus was they are doing this to remain competitive with other manufacturer. Not sure if Toyota was mentioned specifically or implicitly. A marketing decision anyway.

Got mine in the mail about 2-3 weeks ago!
