2003.5 mazdaspeed protege
hey i just recently found out that the mazda dealership buy my house in Jacksonville NC will redo the computer in the car for $300 and it will make my car run 13's stock. i checked this out and everything seems legit. once i get my taxes back in a couple of week i am getting this done. i will let everyone know the results once i get it done. If u live near Jacksonville it is the Holiday Chrysler/Mazda dealer on hwy17

It's this ceramic muffler bearing that gives ou all the power! Dude don't listen to tem, he's probably trying to sell you the flash which your car probably already has if you've got an 03.5. Even with that the ECU can't make that much power it just smoothes out the transisition to boost a bit. Ask the guy questioins about it and see if he can give you some sort of paperwork from mazda on it.

well it wasn't the guy at the dealership who told me about it, it was this guy i know at a used car dealership (Extreme motors) that initially told me about it. He had a couple of the mazdaspeeds on his lot and told me about when me and one of my buddies were up there browsing. The owner is one of my friends buddies and told me about it. I guess he had the same thing done to one of the proteges on the lot and when i test drove the car is had a very different feel to it.

I'm just going to say it flat out to save you some cash, the guy is an idiot. There is nothing a mazda dealer can and would do to the ECU.

wow, dude, i can tell you how to make your MSP run 13's stock for free. find your wastegate (it's right on the turbo and it's gold). there is a hose connected to it. remove it and close the hose off. so it'll prevent a vacuum leak vaccum leaks are bad, they create a rough idle.

your car will now boost about 18 PSI or so. have fun

hmm if this guy was right dont you think someone would have done this awhile back? also a used car dealer will tell you anything to get you to buy the damn car. I hate people

hahahahahahahahahaha and thats all i have to say about that lol, i heard from this guy whos friends brothers uncle is a used car dealer lol

the only thing i heard of this type was a nissan dealer playing a little with timing of spec-v's and you have to put premium forever afterwards.. the gain is noticeabe.. but not that much.. i got a friend whos got his done.. and under warranty.. it's not an official thing from nissan from what i heard.. the irony is that i still managed to flame his ass from a stop light with my bone stock msp.. so is it true? maybe .. does it work? inconclusive..

Save your money. Its bulls***, doesn't matter if you know him somewhat or not.

it's probably the ECU reflash.....(lol)

Its 90% that. Or just the guy pulling his wastegate line and telling him "there you go,300 dollars please".

For the new people, there is no such thing, dont think about it...maybe its possible, just plain NO, not happening. Im happy though that these people came here to ask first without just jumping into it. Unless some people not present on the boards get this magic done and think they can run 13's.

Just like a guy me and sandspeed met with a 350whp rx8 who had intake and a ebay chip. I just want to give up sometimes.

(nuts) Right in the BAWLS!

That man has to be on crack.(stoned) You will need an exhaust, more boost, sticky-ish tires at least. Hell JoeP did it but with a crush bend 3'', an MBC, and some good driving but the ECU was all stock non-flashed.

I was under the impression that this is BAD for stock MSP.?

I'm new at this stuff. Thought I read somewhere the stock limit is like 8 psi until you do some mods.

True/False??? (help)
