Mazda cd changer

I did a search but could not find the answer,is the cd changer a component that fits "into"the single cd body or if I wan't one do I have to buy a complete new radio/changer and toss mine ??
I am talking about,in case it isn't clear,the Mazda factory changer.

Like he said, you gotta changed out the whole thing. I'll sell you my factory 6disc for real cheap. I only used it for like a week or 2.

You are all wrong, the cd changer module will replace the single cd player module. I had a 6 disc and a single disc at one time and I could interchange the disc capacities on them by switching the module.

The part from mazda will cost you an arm and a leg so buying the whole unit from someone on here is cheaper. I sold mine a while back for $120 and bought a single disc for $45. I have an LCD there now so I just keep it incase I need to go back to stock later on.

I stand corrected. I never examined my changer that close. Anyway, Indigo, $75 plus shipping.
