Mazda 6 Possibly Gone

Well I was picking up my sister last night from the hospital when a kid in a old jeep cherokee knocks me into a honda accord. The car looks pretty bad I think it's a gonner there is some frame damage. The kid hit me doing about 40 to 50 I got togo to the wrecking yard tomm. I will take pics. All an all everyone is o.k it got really emotional cause my 6 month old niece was in the car but all is good. I just have an imprint from the airbag on my arm and my lower back is a little tight. Let me know what you think when you see the pics.

Well its official got the call today and she is total.

Sorry I missed this.... I was going to say, looking at all the damage from the front (it also appears damaged on the right front side as well)

and the damage in in the rear, and the fact your airbags deployed.... that's enough for an insurance dealer to deem the car "totaled"

Sucks to hear about the car, hopefully you get enough back to purchase a new one.... and good to know everyone is ok.... Safety features are top notch, eh?

Probly not I'm thinking about something bigger like a truck. I'm a pretty tall dude so I could use the leg room. I am thinking about a 3rd gen RX7 since I'm getting a house this year.

FD3S? I guarantee if you're a tall dude you won't feel very comfortable in that thing for long drives, that is more of a toy... I'm 6'2 and 230... I have one friend with an rx-7 and I'm not comfortable sitting in it.

I do however love my speed6, definitely comfortable, sliding the seat all the way back and pulling the steering wheel up... hot dog!

That's another thing, the steering wheel, if you have long legs you're gonna hit it with your knee in the FD3S

The 7 is going to be my toy. I am getting a tahoe, I picked one out today just waiting for the car to be paid off. I also have a good interior guy who can modify the seat for me, we were about to do the same thing to my 6 until well you know.

good to know, yeah i'd be getting a custom bracket and seat to mount it furthe back.... tahoes are nice.

Today I checked out a CX7, very very nice it may be on the list. Got to read the lit. on it a little more and see what everyone on here thinks. My opinion that thing has a lot of torque.

same engine as the speed6/speed3... mzr 2.3L disi turbo.... so I would expect it to.

You should get the 2009 mazda6.... v6 3.7L (same in cx-7) so that puts it at 270 hp and 273 lbs trq... being that mazda doesn't "de-tune" it

yeah summer, there is speculation of an earlier release. Your best bet is to ask your Mazda dealer if they know when they're getting some.

yeah its a fun car. i have that and the speed6. the cx7 is definetly a bit slower, but its rated at less hp, and its heavier, so thats to be expected. otherwise i love em both
