Mazda 5 weird noises!

Have an automatic Protege 5, 124,000 miles .....

When he turns either direction, there is a loud quacking..yes quacking coming from under the hood...

any thoughts?

Maybe you have a duck living under your hood and when you turn the wheels he doesn't like it...

Or maybe something to do with power steering or ball joints? Have you heard it from outside the car?

Mine did that just before the PS pump blew. After replacement, car wouldn't pass state air test because OBD wouldn't read. After 10 days with the dealer charging8 hours diagnostics, the problem was pressure sensor on the PS pump. The whole OBD software system is held hostage by the PS pump sensor.
Still trying to get Mazda corporate to give back for what they didn't know.
