Saw a Mazda 3 hatchback today. Guy had tricked it out and put an "Atenza" script on the right hand side of the trunk.

Thoughts? :)

i am not sure but if my memory is good, atenza is the mazda 6 in japan,so he should got is infos before doing that, anyways,i dont understand the thrill of having the jdm badges on a car over here, and another thing we should check out,i think its illegal to change the badge that significate the name of the car, probably for cops or something...

Yeah, he should have put axela. I haven't seen this car around but I'll keep my eye open.

Oh, please. Remember in the good ole USA, that which is not prohibited is permitted. I have never heard anything about it being illegal to change/add/remove the name on a car. The police have the license plate to keep track of evil-doers.

i agree with,i dont say it is illegal,i say we should search for the info about the legallity of changing the badges on a car, because i know that in quebec canada,it is illegal to change the appearence of a car in a way that people and police officers could be confused by the modification on the car...

Hmmmmm... I was driving by pretty fast... I actually saw the beginning A and the ending a with a script letter in the middle like an l or a t, and figured it was Atenza. I didn't know the 3 is otherwise known as axela (being new to the Mazda family).

I would imagine anyone who desired to put a foreign script on his car would do the math to figure out which one he needed. It was probably axela. (confused)
