Does anyone know if the wiring on a Mazda 2 Sport is already installed? I was qouted two diffrent prices depending on if the car already comes with the wiring.

IMHO,
Just be aware, that as fog lights go, they aren't the greatest in the world......
At least the U.S. market ones.

I absolutely find them almost useless. Who puts a cap in front of the bulb?

Yeah, they do basically nothing, I was trying to see a difference the other day and it's almost nonexistent. At least they look cool, I guess. Maybe they help other cars see yours if it's foggy. I wonder if there are any PIAAs or something that would drop into the stock trim without too much trouble.

Looks like the lights on your side of the pond are designed correctly. The "glare guard" is like a cap that sits just in front of the "top" of the bulb.

Real fog lights (Cibie, Marchal, Bosch) can do a lot. They project a wide and low light with a sharp horizontal cut off. The cut off is low so that the light is not reflected off of the fog or snow back into the driver's eyes. (They don't have glare guards, BTW)
The UK fogs look like a much better design then the U.S..... Who makes these decisions?

I do have a garage to work in, more importantly with a propane heater.. that's the difference maker. Although, after this snowstorm, my bumper is just kind of hanging off the front, and I believe one of my fog's completely blew out due to that (sure sounded like it)... might be happening sooner rather than later.
I'll keep everyone updated, and I'll do my best to try to get some pics of before and after. That might be hard, because I'm really pissed about what happened (there's more to it than just simply messing up the bumper), and just wanna get it fixed soon.

Oh man, it couldn't be more the other way around. It was miserable driving 30 km/h max, plowing snow the whole time, not only with my front bumper, but levelling out the snow with the bottom of my car... backed into my driveway (after getting stuck right in front of my house), and POW, fog light blows, bumper is hanging off....

I appreciate the sentiments John. But, on a happier note, my bumper is back on (after being out all day without it), and my fog lights are sitting inside my house now. Time to figure some shtuff out.

Sounds better. No damage to the bumper?
Years ago we had a 20 degrees F below zero night (the F didn't stand for fahrenheit). In the morning, my wife drove her '98 Civic down our street and there was a jagged chunk of ice frozen to the asphalt. It hooked the corner of her bumper and the bumper shattered into a dozen pieces. I 'stitched' the bigger chunks back together with black plastic cable ties and a screwed on steel plate (Frankencar?). It stayed that way until we got her a Fit. (In the mean time, it scared other cars away......)
Plz take some photos of what you do with the fogs.
