Maybe a STUPID question HERE?

Well I have been waiting to get a chance to get to dealership for the rear sway bar clunking in my mp3. But I have been so busy at work I cannot drop it off. ( they wont do it while I wait) So here is my situation.

I have heard the clunking now for 12,000 miles. Mostly highway.

Is my rear suspension/ anything else get premanantly messed up? I mean Will being loose from bushings really damage anything but swaybar?

Please help I am worried about my car here, But have a very demanding job that I travel alot with it.

I have noticed my turning makes me have a little body roll in the rear though? I can live with that.

PLEASE

It shouldn't really screw anything up, but to be on the safe side I'd take 5 mins and check the bolts just to be sure they're tight. My feeling on suspension parts is it's better to be safe than sorry.

Ya I checked the 2 bolts that hold the swaybar on and there tight.

I think the bushings are jjust shot???????????

Thanks for the reply.

ANYMORE HELP???

How come they won't fix your clunking while you wait?
- I took my car in, it took them about 45 minutes..that included washing my car for me...I sat in the service area the whole time while this was done. I believe they gave me bigger bushings, the clunk noise is gone now, I would check with your dealer again.

I agree with Velo....they should do this while you wait...

but maybe what you can do is make an appointment for a specific time with the intention of waiting...and make sure you speak with the maintenance manager to set this up...not just some clerk....ensure you are very specific that you want to bring the car in at a specific time and you need to be able to have the work done then and wait for it...be very polite and explain your situation with work so that he/she knows that you are just not some impatient jerk that wants your work done NOW just because.....taking that little time and being upfront and courtious to the guy will go a long way....give it a shot.

thanks

I will try again just for the sake of arguments?

But I bet ya they won't

I think they just wanna cruz in it and everytime I want to wait with my car they make an excuse that we cant make an appt. for that, now they can for an oil change go figure.

???

if there is another mazda dealer ANYWHERE near you...give them a call....tell them the dealer that you have been TRYING to get service out of...tell them if they can do better...that YOU will give them ALL your business...even though they are further away....that SERVICE is your number ONE concern....let them know they are taking business away from someone...it makes them happy. Its worth a shot.

Bump

ANYMORE HELP i CANT GET TO DEALERS FOR AWILW NOW.

PLEASE HELP ME I AM A LOSER.....

hey i am currently having a problem wit the "bushings" as well...i dont think it is the bushings though...they replaced i thought all the bushings last week and the clunk was still there ...i got my car on fri called them up on fri when i got home and told them i will drop off the car on mon night to have them do more work...my new sv mngr told me they had to replace tho "other bushings" on the sway bar...how many are there...i know 2 on the sway bar it self...are there two on the ends also?...anyway...the car does tend to feel a lot less stable...i mean i went on a ride wit my friend in his type r even after the replace and i thought i was gonna die...i swear do not get on the car until u get it all fixed and riding tight again...i have some major body roll and i feel very unsafe takin turns at high speeds now...just my 2cents

I agree totally with you man,
My car handles like crap as well going into turns and at high speeds on the e-way.

Damn JUNK,
:(

Junk, I looked last night at it again and the bar is freakin loose as hell in the bushing on the passanger side. And it moves left to right pretty easily. That explains the crappy bodyroll.

Damn Dealers SUCK a$$
