L Lord_Zath Member Jul 2, 2005 #3 Yeah you're better off keeping the heat shield in place. Paint it if you think it looks ugly. Just make sure it's a hi-temp paint

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of spraying them then. But some new headers are in the works. If i install new headers, the manifold plate won't be neccesary anymore or will it?
