C'mon with some mustang scoop photoshop help..I think thats the hood I am going to make...I think the stang hood is composite though and not steel like i had originally thought...Anyone know for sure on the 99-00 hoods?

Are you 100% positive that the stock 99-00 hood is metal and not composite?
If i may ask...How do you know?

its sheet metal, it feels just like the fenders and body, makes same noise when u knock on it.. same material

I'm not so sure...I will have to check one tomorrow...I have seen a lot that says they are composite but nothing to confirm either way 100%.

Hello...I know the front end of a protege is metal..I do have one and extra parts including a hood...I am referring to the mustang hood....Is it composite or steel...It will make a difference on the construction of making the two become one.I knew we weren't on the same page.

I guess i see how you took it when i said 99-00 ...I was referring to the drop scoop hood of the 99-00 Mustang...I just realized that the pro had a 99-00 run that was different as well...I wasnt thinking of that though.But yeah,I need to know the info on the 99-00 MUSTANG hood.

I want this hood photoshopped on a protege...just the center scoop area blended to the protege hood.This is a stock mustang hood and the hood that I am questioning what it is constructed of.

This is the hood I am going to use for the project ,and I have had these vents lying around for ever....so I just put the two together to see what they look like.

Lord no. I'd stay away from anything that looks like it came off of a muscle car. Just doesn't look right imo. Wish I could help with photoshoping but I gotz no skills. hows about a mugenish style vent/scoop thingie they always have at the front of the hood. But put it close to the turbo side of the car. Maybe a couple 2"by8" vents near the windsheild that don't potrude. Black mesh please.
