maintenance intervals

hey everyone this is kind of a noob thread but i think this would benefit everyone that owns an Mazdaspeed 3.

im trying to out together a maintenance booklet thats more detailed than the one that came with the factory. and would like the opinions of everyone on the site.

Mehcanical maintenance mostly

fluid intervals(oil, coolant, tranny, diff, etc.)

Chassis lubing(how often)

brake inspection(how often)

tire rotation(how often)

Ignition inspection(how often)

filter replacement (air, fuel, etc.)(how often)

and anything else im missing???

there are a lot of general mileage intervals that go with most vehicles (we used something called E-auto at an independant shop i worked at) things like spark plugs and fuel filters at 60k, wipers every 5k, belts every 50k, stuff like that

but honestly, as long as you check things normally there is probably no need to make an interval out of it. i like to look check everything under the hood every time i change the oil or fill up the washer fluid, it really takes no time at all.

or, you could just go to a mazda dealer and get a chart from them, im sure they could help you out with that. besides, you take it to a dealer for one oil change and they like to guesstimate your mileage and send you reminders in the mail.

My dealership gave me a very nice maintenance interval sheet up to 200,000 miles.
