Alright, I know you have all been waiting for this... I went to a dyno yesterday with the rest of the local college car club (CCVT). The shop is run by one of the alumni and was pretty far away but it was quite worth it as you can see. Anyhow, the best run was 188.76whp and 187.42wtq although the first run made over 190 wtq. The first two runs were done in 4th whereas the last was done in 3rd but it didn't make much of a difference. All mods are listed in the sig (minus the "Completed" mods of course) and I am really impressed. I went into yesterday thinking maybe 160-165whp but this surpassed anything I could have imagined. The boost level is sitting at 7-8psi with an occasional creep to 9psi.
The funny thing about the curves is you can still see the 2.0L's characteristic peak tq at 3500RPM and peak hp at 6000 ROM as well as Mazda's pig-rich A/F ratios. I do like the fact that the tq curve is relatively constant.
My next plans are to ditch the Magnaflow exhaust for a CS Power Series or something similar (waiting for a reply on some questions I've asked them) and to get a PG intake manifold. Maybe adj. cam gears and new cams? DSM AFC? Maybe one of Focus' new exhaust manifolds?
Oh yeah an Kansei, I wouldn't be suprised if you're nearl 195 or even 200 whp with the FSZE cam and the larger exhaust.
Alright, feel free to discuss...
