Magnaflow vs. CP-E Cat Back

i just installed the magnaflow catback on my speed6 last friday after work. its sickly sounding!! it owns the CP-E exhaust as far as sounding good. also..why don't you guys get dyno's of stock speeds w/ the two exhaust systems to compare the exhausts. personally i don't see the point of going 3" on a gas motor, i don't see gains til then unless you are pushing some real power..like 500+hp.

even on a diesel truck you don't see any performance gains after 4"

edit: oh and the "magnaflow sounds better than cp-e" statement comes from hearing the two setups on speed6's around town. but then i realized that the cp-e can have different muffler combo's..so it would sound different depending on which mufflers you buy (2thumbs)

What are you smoking yo...owns cpe my ass. For one thing what is the sense in wasting money on a cat back system...???(jerkit)

Of course your not going to get crap from a cat back system. Cat backs are for (butt)

bbakken what set up did you get with Cpe. only 14 in muffler or did you get axe back as well??

I got the axle back muffler with the replaceable muffler so I can put the straight pipe in when I want to.

The magnaflow won't have the same gains the CP-E does. The thing with a turbo car is you want as little backpressure after the turbo as you can get. The turbo runs on this pressure differential. The Magnaflow is not a bad system. They design their stuff for the daily guy. Someone who wants a little more grunt and improved sound without the high noise level and clearance issues of a 3" (my custom 3" seems to need adjusting all the time). The Magnaflow is also a whole lot cheaper. I've seen it for $392 shipped!!!

i bought my magnaflow a long time ago from ebay for 392 shipped, but it is not even 3 inches or stainless, just the mufflers are but the piping isn't. My cp-e is evil sounding. I shoot fireballs, and it pops down low. It is just what the doctor ordered.
