2000 mazda protege Se 1.6L mtx
Just keeping track of all the progress of the protege.
Here's the story. Bought my protege last month. Got it for 800 from my brother. (wasn't a family deal, I don't believe in asking for cheaper because of family.) Came with some fancy 17" rims and the car is almost rust free, which is unheard of in Canada especially for a 2000. For anyone interested you can put some comments on my build. I plan to put it away for winter from now on and I plan do some some engine mods and some suspension mods. I'll be posting pictures as I get building. I may post some how-to vids for those that are less mechanically inclined.

you'll need the brackets to mount that strut bar from that P5. youll also need the cruise control bracket off of the p5 as well so it puts it in a different angle, so it wouldnt be in the way.

Cold air intake/exhaust/springs are good for starters... the cold air will wake up the zm at a noticeable rate.

Ya I had got the brackets too I looked in another protege to be sure but ya I know I'm working on lowering springs and a cai just a little limited on money. I got the strut bar on already just no pic yet

I know not too many people come on this website anymore, but finally got some funds, got some eibach springs on order, they said i could use stock struts?, also getting some rubber for the rims and got some plastic restore stuff to restore the color, a little cold out right now to do anything (-35C) and i dont have a heater in my garage, so it will be a little bit before i can get everything put together.

Stock struts will be fine. Just make sure they are not already blown. If those are actual mazda wheels, those will be pretty cool, i've never seen those before.

Ya I can't wait to see how they look on the car. I will probably online driving it in July cause of all the pot holes the side wall is pretty thin the tires are a 205/40/17

Heres with the rims on no lower.
