Does anyone know the Mazda part number or can recommend a lubricant for door and trunk hinges ?

I'm getting squeaks from the hinges. Thanks in advance.

I use the crc white lithium grease spray. they also have silicone lubricant. I get them from walmart because they are a lot cheaper.

Avidien, if you notice the person in the video also recommends the white lithium grease for the door hinges. That is what i use and crc is a pretty decent brand of lubricant. The one mazda dealer i went to use this to lubricate my door hinges years ago when i first took it in for service.

What product is suggested for applying to the little rubber cover that is over the outside door handle lock/unlock button? Wore mine off the 2008 and had to replace it. Seems some lube or protectorate might have preserved it.

This might help somewhat...

I have used the white lithium spray by CRC and Liquid Wrench. The only issue I find with either is that - just like what happened to the guy in the video, the stuff flies out so forcefully that it ends up spattering all over the place and you end up using a lot more than you really need and cleaning up the mess.....unless you don't care where it ends up. No matter how hard I try to gently depress the 'trigger' it almost always comes out way too fast and dispenses too much.

I don't think I have what you're talking about....not on my 2008, but if it's UV damage that 'killed' yours, you could also try "303 Aerospace Protectant" - the stuff works very well. I use it a lot on my boat, and also for my trailer tires, tire covers - just about anything rubbery/plastic that sits in the sun.

I am not sure about the Sport model but the Grand Touring has a little rubber covered button in the door handle that, when pressed, lock/unlocks the doors if the key fob is in the vicinity. Anyway, through use and the environment, mine wore off. I use my key-fob now more so on the 2015 to keep form wearing it off again. Plus, I will use the suggestions from the forum. Thanks
