no the revised mazdaspeed lsds will still break, get it tig welded before you have it installed

they might be more resilient to stock horsepower levels but if you are making 350 whp then weld that son-of-a-b**** cause you will run into problems

also consider upgrading to PAR gears or GTX gears (not sure where you can get the PAR gears but the GTX ones are availible on www.protegegarage.com) because you will likely shear 3rd and possibly 5th....these transmissions are not built for power at all....if you can't fit that into the budget then just cryo treat them, they may last and they may not (I haven't personally seen any hard evidence in either direction with cryo treating, but its what I run)

You will soon be killing LSD's. Either weld the hell out of it or get the quaife. Either way you have to upgrade it somehow. The stock LSD will not last long on a heavily moddifed car, not even a stock car as it seems.

It's spot welded to the ring gear, that's where it breaks. It's so fragile there that you can probably see where it's not welded. Mine was missig a few spots where it should have been welded but it never made contact.

144k miles and just welded mine along with new lsd bearings and seals....if anyone tries getting those bearings off, its a b****!!

It would only be a "one post" list if "one" used welded LSD broke. Also, why weld a used LSD when the damage has already been done. They break with stock horsepower so welding a potentially damaged LSD is a waste of time cosidering the amount of work just to get it out of the car.

Well, we will see if I kill the diff this time, I was making 352 whp 309wtq and going back for a retune since meth injection and gt3076R Ball bearing turbo and putting on some 24" slicks

for me is terrible...i past 2 diff and 2 transmission....it not a joke is real....the dealer chang my first at 25k km,de seconde 42k km,the third same time a transmission at 56k km and the last is broke in the same time to the transmission at 68k km....i try to dont broke this one on my car because my ******* warranty is finish this month....( i past 3 engine and 6 turbo) i now all of people think am e stupid guys...so i love speed...not the dealer....hahah it my little history....excuse my poor english guys...Ben
