Yeah, the MS6 is an incredible touring car. The car really feels solid on most road surfaces and is a real joy to drive on the highway. I honestly think the dealer put the wrong fuel in the car, because the salesman was telling me the car is supposed to take 91. I know you're not supposed to put anything less than 93 in the MS6 and from what I've read anything less than 93 results in power loss.

I just bought a red MS6 Sport today (8-31-06) for $200 over invoice (I don't mind the dealer making a little money), or $26,900 (my car has $400 in options). After $2500 Mazda rebate, $1000 Mazda American Credit cash, a $1000 Minnesota State Fair pricing cash offer, and a $200 Luther dealership loyalty discount for which I qualified, I paid about $22,200 for a new MS6. What an amazing car for the money!

Woot Woot, another MN person?

i was at the auto barn today and could get a sport for 22000.not sure if im gonna trade my 03 max in for it thursday

Dealer near me is also advertising at around 21,995 for Sport model. But I believe it may be even less after all current incentives are applied.

Their sister dealership ran an ad on fFriday for $7,500 off MSRP, which would be just under $21,000 on a sport, but that could have been on the GT.

Either way, the '06s are going for dirt cheap right now.

Wow, that's around 24 grand for a GT...that's a whole lot a car for the money...this makes the ms3 decision even harder because you can get an awd sedan turbo for the same price as a fwd ms3. MS3 is the better track car whereas the ms6 is the better touring/all weather auto...decisions, decisions..

I was in the same situation, although I didn't get THAT much money off of an MS6. I was originally going to wait for the MS3 but I thought about how fun this car was going to be in winter, and around here winter lasts longer than summer so having AWD made me go the MS6 route. I basically got an MS6 for about 2K more than an MS3. True, it's more of an adult car than I wanted, but having a car that feels like an audi or bmw makes me not regret my decision.

This ad got me to consider the speed6 when I had nearly bought an Acura TL. I wasn't quite comfortable, walked, waited, saw the ad, drove it and had a helluva ride. The TL is an awesome car but this car at 22K or less means it'll cost me 10K+ less after financing. Yeah, it's not as good a car but it's not 10K worse.

I can't buy a GT because they all have moonroof and I don't fit but I've gotten quotes in the 22ish range for sport models. Probably gonna be 21ish+TTL by the time I'm done.

Just a bit of info on Putnam Mazda's pricing. I bought a Speed6 today from a different dealership that matched their price: $21,115+TTL. Interestingly, the guy from Putnam called me as I was getting ready to go down to the dealership. I didn't dink around, as I had an agreement with the other dealership, but he'd have lowered his price to get my business. My guess is that if I pushed it I'd have gotten it for under $21K.

Also, I financed through Mazda for the $1,000 and got an 8.1% APR. My credit rating was 823 (Experian) according to the salesman. If that's what you get when you have a credit rating in the top 10% of the country I can't imagine what you get when you poor credit. Anyways, I'll be refinancing that ASAP.

I bought mine today as well and I got it for $22,685. Yeah the mazda credit thing sucks b/c my score was 718 and they gave me 10% but as soon as the payment book gets here I'm running to a local credit union and try to get they're 6% rate.

Before TTL, mine was about the same, right around $22,800. I could have gotten them lower (that was first offer) but my dealership was getting it from somewhere else and had done a lot for me while negotiating, so I paid for me not having to travel, and to maintain a good relationship with them after all they had done for me.

screw the dealerships, all they want is your money, they could care less about you once you buy the car.

LAWL@ good dealerships, and remaining in good standing

**** dealerships...the only reason why I haven't really attempted to buy a MS6 yet, is because I don't feel like going through all that bulls***...that's a real turn off to buying cars. I don't understand why Dealers Just don't accept reasonable offers, and always wanna bullcrap you.

because they are greedy a-holes, that think everyone is a moron that they can manipulate. My dealer actually yelled at me when I asked for the price that he had advertised on the internet, so I walked out and haven't gone back since. I will take my business somewhere else, rather then get bullied around by some loser. No offense to any dealers who are part of the forums, but most of these salesmen don't know anything about the cars.

That is so true, my salesman told me my car was a 6 cylinder and that the rear seats folded down and oh yeah its a single disc CD player.

you can get a speed 6 in my area for $7,000 of msrp if you use mazda financing. Otherwise its $6,000 off. I tried and tried to get my mom to drive one, but she ended up going with a 3. Thats a killer deal for those cars.

I bought mine for $22,300 in black cherry...it's the no frills/ just performance version which is perfect for me!
P.S. that did not include a trade or big down payment, that was the purchase price via $750 below invoice, $2500 rebate, $1000 off for using Mazda credit.

sp3? Did you get a deal on a new Speed 3? Their not even out yet, right? So I assume you are talking about the Speed 6. If so, you still have time to pull out if you want since you have not actually taken physical possession of the car...don't expect them to be happy about it though.
My deal was a special promo they had running for about 2 weeks, they did not have the car I wanted so I called around and found a dealer that did and then asked if they would be able to match that deal...after the salesperson talked to the manager and confirmed with the original dealer that they were indeed doing that promo., she called me back and said they would match it.

The dealer I got it at was Capital Mazda in Cary, NC. (good dealership)
