Opps yeah I meant sp6.. Thx for the quick responce man..What was the 2500 rebate from? I just dont know what to do now though.. It seems if I want to travel I can get a better deal if I wait for one of those special weeks where someone see's one. Is it all worth the hassel though..1k is 1k more in my pocket..
what do you guys think? should I follow through at my price?

Btw I'll be in concord NC next weekend to tune and setup my prostock drag car (cough Honda lol cough) so I could just buy one and drive it back here to CT.

Most places were doing the extra $2500 off to get rid of the car. I would just push the issue with them saying you see people getting that amount off plus thte additional for MAC. Don't be afraid to walk. I thought I would get my deal but at the third dealership they gave me what I wanted.

Just wanted to make my first post and let everyone know that while the deals are out there some dealers are still trying to put the screws to ya...I was at a dealer I've bought from getting service work done, they actually wanted 26k for a gt without the nav. Current offer from another dealer is 26k with the nav....I'm waiting to see if they try and **** me on my 6sport...I like the gt so I hope to bring one home soon.

The bottom line is you have to do your research. I am curious what the deal will be after oct2nd...anyone have any thoughts about waiting to see the next deal? It might be worth it to wait...local dealer has about 12 on the lot right now...could be worth the risk of waiting...??

So I called and told them to hold off because of what I have been finding here, they are pissed now, doubt they will give me my 100 deposit back without a fight. It just sucks because I contacted about 7 dealeships so far today and they all say the best they will do is right around what i'm paying now 26,500 without nav or sirius.. So now if I decide to just get it here, they are going to be a bunch of a$$es and say see we told you you couldnt do better..
I had 2 dealerships say they will beat it guaranteed but they need something to pricematch against like an add or an price quote. I doubt the place i have the deposit will do that because they know what i plan on doing with it..lol

Rusharp, where are you located geographicly, it just seems like everything here in CT is more expensive then anywhere else in the US.. All the damm famous people and NYC people living in southern part of the state make Ct one of the richest states.. Damm gas was 3.49 a gallon for the 87 octane here last month!!!!

I'm in florida...here is the quote I just got..that's without steping foot on the lot.

Thank you for your request for your new car purchase. I understand you are looking at our 2006 Mazda 6s Grand Touring Mazda Speed in Black Cherry. This vehicle is in-stock and equipped with the following options:

GT Package, Manual Transmission, Black Interior, Navigation, Power Moonroof, Wheel Locks and Carpet Floor Mats. This vehicle has an MSRP of $33,225 from the factory. Our Special Internet Selling Price for this vehicle is $30,110 plus your tax, tag, title and fees.(MF3006)

This vehicle is also eligible for an additional $3,500 Factory Rebate and Mazda Financial Discount.

So that's 26610 with the nav. I have another one from a dealer in mn for the same money...I think you could probably go to 26k with the nav...your right your area and the number of cars around is going to effect the price.

Good Luck.

What I did was get a quote from another state the use that around my area, none of them even asked to see the quote, and one of them didnt believe me so the salesman went and got a quote through is own e-mail and it was on par with mine. Then they ALL broke down and offered my the car for the right price then I just had to let them fight over who would give me more for my trade in.

Ok well i just delt with this guy nfor an hr. It just comes down to our state and all the stupid fees the dealer has to pay+ tax stuff and emissions.. They explained everthing real well and are going to give me the invoice on the car to back up their prices. They are going to knock off 500. which is the salesman's commision. They told me that they get car from Mazda for a hidden 1k under invoice, that way they still make 1k if they sell it at invoice, my price is exactly 2 k under their invoice with the optins i have so thats 1k they they should make which they wont, the other 1k off is the Mada finance rebate and now they knocked off the salesmans commision. I contacted about 10 dealers in CT,MA and RI and this was the bare bones price i'm going to get.. It just rips me that because of where i live i have to pay 2-3k more then the rest of the usa does. I just want to thank all of you for talking the time to help me out with this decission..I'm glad to be here and the new owner of the sp6 platform for my daily commute..
I'm actully an engine builder for Honda's and current have built a few of the fastest street class cars in the country includin my allmotor crx which ran 11.78@115 allmotor..
I'm also sponsored by www.bristoldyno.com with the honda stuff so I'll see if I have full acess to the dyno with the Mazda, that means i'll dyno whatever people want to send me.. Can we say intake shootout!!!

I also work for and Aerospace contractor in the coatings indusrty so i offer full coating services to the guys on our web boards will piston coatings, turbo manifold and turbine coatings ect ect. so if anyone nedds anything let me know..

I just got a new 2006 Speed GT today in pearl white. The car has no moonroof, no navi, but has wheel lock, compass mirror. I got it for around 23k, and exactly 25k drive out. I live in Atlanta with 6% tax. And I didn't use that mazda credit thing, bought the car in cash.

The wife and I just purchased our Speed6 GT in Black Mica, Navi, Moonroof, Moonroof wind deflector, and wheel locks for 28000 OTD (No Mazda Credit, No Money Down). We are completely in love with this car. Zoom Zoom.

I just got quoted a price for a loaded ($34,000) MS6 for $28,000 with 2.9% from the dealership. I wasn't going to get the loaded one, but they are making it a pretty good deal it seems. I am still undecided, but there aren't many left in Central Florida so i have to chose quickly. I think if they can take another grand off I will get it.

You can probably get closer to 7k off MSRP on a Sport as well! It might be worth to look a little harder.

I finally did it! I bought an MS6! After doing research on pricing and such for almost a month I finally found the right price:

Titanium Gray Sport model $28,555
CAL EMISSIONS (5 STATE) $100
WHEEL LOCKS $40
Total MSRP:
$28,695
-$8500 discount
=
$20,195
+$45 documentation fee
=
$20,240

(omg) Now I just need to finalize shipping the car to me.

www.surfcitymazda.com
Ask for the internet/fleet manager

The $8500 discount is their advertised discount this weekend. They actually refused to re-do the paperwork when the advertisement came out. I agreed to $8000 off on friday, and the $8500 advertisement came out in the newspaper on saturday. My brother had to end up buying the car in order to get the $8500 off.
I've never set foot in the dealership, I live in MN. My brother is visiting relatives in CA, so he was there to be able to do everything.

Grat!!! thats the best price ever (first)
