Irecently lowered my mp3 an inch and a quarter when i upgraded the struts to the hp tokico struts, now shes rubbing real bad in the back end (outside face of tire and top edge of tire) what can I do about this?

You can raise the suspention if it's ajustable.. but other then that go back to the original in the back

what springs are you running? and what do you mean you "upgraded" to Tokico HPs? That's what we run stock...

You can try rolling up the inside of your fender .... .....?
Do you have a diffrent size tire then a 205/45/17 ???
Does it rub when Its just you in the car or rub when you have 4 people??

Im running on H&R springs and stock struts.....I had the same problem when I had a set of yokohoma's.. still a 205/45/17 tire but rubbed and kinda CUT into the top outside of the tire... My brother does autobody work, so I had him roll in and up the inside lip on my fender, YOU DONT GET MUCH MORE ROOM BUT IT MAYBE HELPFULL...

It just so happens I didnt like the rims/tires.. so I went back to stock....

i just bought some 18 and was wondering if anybody had success in lowering the car or should i buy coilovers. and is the ksport good to get.

if all you did was replace the struts, the rear is going to be too low. if you changed out the springs too, then you need to tell us what springs, what rims, and what size tires you're running. other than that, its a crap shoot as to why you're rubbing.

Im looking to lowering my car and im just wondering how low i can go without the tires starting to rub, ive got the stock rims and same size tires. And one more thing, what would be the advantage of having coilovers?? Other than there adjustable

makvli, KSports are a great product, you'd love them.

amair, all I've seen people have lowered easily and inch, past that and some people have gotten rubs.

And coil overs could mean 2 things.

1) Replace the stock sprint and go over the strut
2) Complete strut and coil over assembly (1 unit)

The advantage of #1 is that like you said they are adjustable, this is from ride quality, height, and cornering for autox, fast mountain roads, etc.

The advantage of #2 is, also #1, but the struts themselves are also usually adjustable, this allows you to fine tune you suspension for ride comfort and cornering ability.

im running the mazdaspeed rims with 215-45-17 tires with eibach springs, and i have plenty of clearance. an inch and a quarter would surprises me that you rub. maybe the stuts you bought are broken, or installed wrong.

if you ddint get an alignment when you got your lowering springs that is a very good chance that could be the problem
