Im a real rookie at this whole thing. I just want to lower the car about 1-2". I want to do i right and i dont want to spend time at the shop getting things fixed. If anyone could help. I want a low cost, effective way to lower the car. Any help would be appriciated!( installation tips would be appriciated as well, my forte is car audio not preformance)

I dropped my car down 1 inch with the Racingbeat springs.

I've posted other places but don't remember off the top of my head where but here is a short list of the springs out for our car and an average drop:

Ground Control - Lowering kit (between 1.5 to 3.5) this kit you can lower the car yourself, but after talking to mechanics, you should do an alignment any time you change the height.

Eibach - about 1.2-1.4, springs only

H & R - about 1.3, springs only

Racingbeat - about .75-.85, these are actually considered performance springs, not lowering springs. Having these on the car I have alot less body roll and handles alot better.

I tried to answer it for you.

Yo, Ground Control would probably be your best bet. Like dude said u can lower it yourself but u do have to get the alignment checked after. Stay away from Intrax. My springs costed $269 and the labor is $150 so figure like at the most 425 for everything. Less body roll and a better center of gravity cant be beat! :D

The Eibach springs that are made for the P5 are for handling not lowering. The pro-kit is made for handling, sportline would be for lowering, gving you a slammed look.

The cost of the Racingbeat's were under $200 for the set (unadjustable, remember). Put them on myself and had it aligned. Under $300 for the whole setup.

Regardless of what you put in your car your going to have to get an aliment check. When shortening the distance from hub to tower brace, you change the camber of the wheel. Now if you are looknig for a show kit, teh ground control would be best. They use the eibach springs, but "supposedly" give you a bumpy ride unless using aftermarket struts and shocks. For performance, im sure the racing beats are great, I myself got hte Eibach but do not have them installed yet. Eibach is teh most reputable company i know of. I would stay away from any springs that cost less then 150. The third option would be for the big boys, thats the ajustable coil over suspension. Sold usually per unit, but it will run you close to 1500 for all four. for a mild lowering that is inexspensive i would put my money on eibach. And for show the ground controls. Thats my $.02

Alrighty!....you guys are great thanx a bunch......I have one question.... I went to visit the local customizing shop and they sell nopi.....does any one have any info on the quality of those.... if not i think im going with the Racingbeats or the Eibachs.... Again thank you very much.....some help on installation would be nice....although i was planning on having someone install them for me!
