alright, i wanna lower my mp3, but i live in charlotte n.c. where there are lots of veryt steep angled driveways and damn sneaky pottholes so a conventional lowering spring kit is out of the question. however i want to start showing my car after i finish my interior. i dont know very much about coil-over. first off, i can prob. install myself so instalation cost dont matter but what are the different kits and their costs and pros and cons. do i lose handeling even when the car is lowered. can i raise the height up to normal height as well as dropped onto the fenderwells. whivh of these kits can be adjusted inside the car. any help would be much appreciated. i love the handeling of the car but i dont do much racing so minimal handeling loss would be exceptablr but ride comfort is important. also ill have a few hundred pounds of stereo equipment in the back so that may be a factor. thanks.

Yes you can slam it and return it back to stock height, but do realize that an alignment will be needed from time to time to insure that tire wear is minimal. If you don't care that much for your tires then adjust the height all you want. Once you install the springs or coilover kit, you will need an alignment, once you get an alignment everything should be fine. You cannot adjust the height from inside the car on any coilover kit. I've been told that Skunk2, Ground Control, H&R, Intrax and Eibach all have springs or coilover kits available for the Protege. JIC and Autoexe are the top dogs of the bunch. If you want to know more about JIC, you can do a search an I'm sure you'll get results and info.;)
