i have the stock 16's but i really want to lower my car. does anyone have pics of their car lowered with the stock rims. I dont know how this will look since the wheel well is not going to be completely filled. I was looking at these for the coilovers

http://www.protege5online.com/For_Sale_Page/Ground_Control_Coil_Overs/ground_control_coil_overs.html

and whatever else i could find for struts.
it will look nice because compared to bigger wheels, the sidewall makes up for it and fill the wheel wells nicely.

consider tein, eibach, h&r for springs, or if you have the bucks, full coilovers

and new springs or coilovers on stock struts are fine for awhile, although the ride quality is kind of rough (i would know)

this is mine lowered with H&R springs and stock wheels

i had my car lowered on stock rims and i was worried how it would look too but it looked good i thought ..i was tempted to throw the stock rims back on the other day to change up the look a lil

lowered with jic-magic flt-a2 coilovers.

i think my total drop was around 2.3", but i'm not sure.

the skunks arnt cheap in price at 400 or so and not quality either. they do have a tendency to have a "boinging " sound up front at low speed ie parkling lot turns. its the spring itself turning in the assembly. doesnt do any damage but its a tad annoying

i am also thinking about lowering with stock wheels...seems like just about all of the springs out there make it look much better than stock.
i have a question about handling tho. from what i've gathered as springs are concerned, eibach prokit seems to be the gold standard. how does the tein s tech compare with them? (i know i know it's been beaten to death but from all that i've searched most compare them for ride qualities) i understand the teins ride softer and aren't as performance oriented, but the spring rates for front and rear are 179lb/in (i think) and 145lb/in respectively. the max rate for eibachs are 183lb/in and 138lb/in i believe. so there really isn't a great deal of diff in numbers...so is the handling difference that gives the eibachs the edge attributed to the fact that it is progressive rather than linear?
