Lowered my MS3!!

Hi guys and gals! I believe I can officially say that I am the very first one to have their MS3 lowered! My car was used as a test mule for RoadMagnet to produce their lowering springs and expand their line into Mazda. They recently made springs for the regular 3 and for the MSP.

The ms3 looks AMAZING lowered. The total drop was about 1 and 1/8 inches. The handling is somehow even better than before. Turns on a dime and stays completely flat through the turns. Best of all, no rubbing even on BIG potholes (unavoidable on I-95). Here are some pictures for you guys, the car was filthy, I will try and get some clean ones by the end of the week.

and this is how I have to get my car into my driveway now! (but hey, no scraping this way)

Thanks guys...Im glad you think it looks good, cuz it really doesnt compare to how awesome it looks in person! I literally stared at my car for about 10 minutes before putting it in the garage tonight.

The ride is equally amazing. I took a few turns way faster than the posted limits and the car stayed flat and exited the turn without losing any momentum. Mad props to RoadMagnet, I can't wait to get the final versions

Be careful that you don't get curb rash on the front bumper!

Just compared the lowered and not lowered pics. Lowered definitely looks much better!

1 1/8inch is the perfect drop IMO.

haha yeah curb rash? more like take the front bumper off.... Gauging from how I have to enter my driveway, I'm pretty sure one of those parking curbs would tear this car up at the current height.

my god! that looks awesome!!! so low and still high enough for regular driving!

after the drop do you require a camber adjustment kit or is the car able to get back to alignment specs without a kit.

there is no camber adjustment on there now. I cant visually notice any camber changes after lowering it. I believe that since the car was slightly lowered (compared to regular 3) from the factory, the camber does not drasticly change and an adjustment is not necesary.

remember though, these springs are prototypes, I don't yet have the final versions. So alligment and tire wear is definitely something I will be keeping an eye on during my testing period in case adjusments need to be made

Thats so sweet. Im debating if I want to lower my car or not. I did on my scion tc and that thing had gouges in the front bumper.

Looks good man, can't wait to see what else you have in store for her!

Thanks man, it's going to be tough because I am traveling a lot for work lately, but I hope to have her set up the way I want in time for AuxOne's MegaMeet (see link in sig) in June.

Not the first to be dropped, but it does look really good!

There's a guy on an UNNAMED FORUM has had the MS springs and camber kit on for a little while now. The MS springs don't lower nearly that much.

That looks awesome! *drool*

Too bad lowering is not an option for me as I must clear not one but six bumps just to get to my parking spot. >_<

Now your car will look absolutely amazing if you put on some nice rims. *^_^*
