And my question is my old axle back exhaust gave the perfect sound I was looking for, unfortunately it is toast now along with the midpipe so I was just thinking about going a full cat back. Now my question, is a catback legal in New York? And also, i'm looking for a nice low sound...not too loud...not too raspy...what exhaust system would you guys suggest to attain this sound. Thanks in advance.

racing beat is the only way!!!

wont drone or anything and doesnt sound ricey. i have one and love it

Got it...wow, thanks guys..quick responses too. And while I have your attention...what do you think would be a good short ram intake? Prob. won't buy soon, but just in case.

or for 90 bux shipped you could get the vibrant cai.

its a steal. name brands are nothing more than a name. you can pay 100 dollars more for the name if you want to but i dont see much of a point. you are paying for the name and the time they spent researching it. i just assume buy cheaper and get the same performance gains. you wont get much out of an intake anyway, so why spend 150+ on it?

Good point. How hard/easy is it to install an intake?
intakes on the 2.0l protege are 10-30 minutes tops.

I've done about 3-5 personally.

yeap once you get the stock CRAP out it's like 5 min unless you are anal about how it is angled. :)

i was looking at the racing beat or the corksport cat-backs... anyone have any vids or sound clips of either exhausts or and additional info on the corksport one?
