Hey guys! I'm thinking about boosting my car before college so i can have some more HP's to lug my crap around and I was wondering what all of the compatible turbos there were out their. I see a lot of t3t4 turbos around the oak ridge area (mostly from Honda junkies), and I was wondering if they would work because they are dang cheap. Thanks a bunch! Keep zoomin!

I read that already, just wondering if there were any others that might work. Sorry for any mis-communications!

the t25 or t28 from the nissan SR motors will bolt up to a stock mazdaspeed protege manifold. just make sure you have some sort of ems

T3t4 is too big for a stock internal fs go with a t2560 or t2860, little lag and more power than the stock motor can handle

What if I were to build the motor a little bit? My dad and I do a lot of engine building (Chevy drag racers/Auto-X'ers) so it wouldn't be a hard thing to do.

building the engine would definitely help a lot. you'd be able to run a lot more boost and it would be more reliable (for the most part). i'd get something with a smaller intercooler so you wont have to cut anything

if you want a vta bov get a brand name one, not a knock off one. it'll last much longer. zilvia.net is a good place to source t2 turbos for cheap, craigslist is also good since you can check everything out in person.

im looking for a good size fmic the one i put on today i had to remove the crash bar and i would like to put it back on to feel a little more safe. is there s size the fits under the crash bar?

I have a 7" tall IC core that fits between the crash bar and bumper cover

If its not your daily I wouldn't worry too much about the crash bar, if it is then keep it. There is a vendor that makes an fmic kit that has all the piping and doesn't require cutting of the crash bar iirc it's cork sport

You do have to run a bov or bpv if not all the air will go back through the turbo which is bad

As far as building the motor rods pistons and good bearings is about all you need depending on power goal, transmissions don't hold up well over 350 or so whp

I'm not looking to get any higher then around 170-200HP so i believe I'll be alright tranny wise. I really appreciate all of the positive inputs guys! I've seen a couple of people on here just get murdered for asking these kinds of questions hahaha! Thanks you guys a bunch!
