He used mild steel vs. aluminum, so they'd better be cheaper. That sounds about right though.

yes, but DSM pipes are rare. i haven't seen anybody post them up for sale in a long time.

Just a follow-up on this. Got an email from John today stating this in regards to hardpipes:

Brett,
We have stopped making hardpipes indefinitely. We just got too hammered down with engine management.

damn! i was just about to see about getting a set, that sucks, DSMs are better in my opinion, mandrel bent, powdercoated. well guess i'll have to suck it up and save an extra 200$ for TH

I love mine. Not cheap, but worth it. Looks and power wise, they're nice. The guy I bought my BOV from threw in a custom powder coated mild steel pipe for the IC-TB side pipe and that one pipe weighed almost double what both the TH pipes weigh.
