My insurance company uses the average value that the car sold for in the area!
I always look at the positive- You get the car you wanted if its a total loss and hope that they pay you the money you want for it

Glad you are ok.
I would say that car is totaled... Especially if the firewall was compromised. if it is just the top box, window and hood then it will be repaired. If totaled, somebody at an auction will buy it for next to nothin, fix it and get it back on the road though.

well i jst talked to the guy on the phone and what he told me is that if its not tatoled that it will get fixed and i will get a check for how ever much the damage is worth which mean i get a check and i have to go have it fixed...so what does that mean im getting a carbon hood anybody know how much those are and i need hinges sence they got all meesed up and bent?...ok i was just out threre a sec ago and noticed that my left head light casinging is brokin well cracked on the in side to so does anybody know how much this stuff will cost

sorry man, but I really doubt that's totaled... Windshield, hood, dash, headlight... That's maybe $2500 total incl paint. The top of teh firewall might be pushed down a littel bit, but tat's pretty easy to pull out... At most another $1k...

Still sucks... Jus be happy you're not in a state like TX. Down here no matter what happened, if you ran into teh back of soemone else, it's your fault.

that really doesn't look like it is totaled, when i got in my accident it looked ten times worse and wasn't anywhere near totaled. The only way they would total it in your situation is if there is frame damage somehow, which doesn't look like that happened, cause it doesn't look like the engine or any compartments under the hood got touched...

well good thing is i just talked to the dealer ship and they said that they cant fix the fire wall it would have to be replaced so most likly theyll just write it off....sounds good to me i was just lookin at a p5 for like 9 grand off of ebay that has air bags and shyt so ill look into that more

A decent P5 can be found for around 9,000. Hopefully your car will total out.

You need to go to a good shop to get an estimate- Go to one of the best shops in the area! The higher the estimate the better off you are! Your insurance company should give you a choice oe 2-3 shops to take it too
