location of egt probe on msp any pics???

keep in mind that it reads 1600deg in the manifold ... well ... there is already a problem , cause temp. in the exhaust manifold should be around 1500 instead , and 1200 on the other side of the turbo.I've cheked the air fuel mixture of a stock MSP on the dyno with a wide band O2 sensor , and (boom05) , we have found that Mazda doesent know what they are doing when i comes to turbocharging ..... the mixture is to rich or to lean , there is no middle .....

This is all at stock boost. Believe me when I tell you the temps are not 1500 in my manifold. I would say 1700-1900

I read a little below1300F when I push the car hard, The only mod I have is the gauges ( translation= stock engine) and my prob is after the turbo ,not so close of it. (check the pics I have post) I Think temp will be higher in the manif neer the engine head. probably neer 1600F .... the gauges don't read after that...

If I understand, it's a good idea to install a fuel management on a msp.

I wouldnt say that mazda doesnt know what its doing when its comes to turbocharging, just that they didn't think it was worth it to spend too much time tuning a protege that they werent going to produce for more than 2 years.

do RX7s have the same problems ?
