what about us stock injector folks? do you know the size of the stock injector?

227cc... but we have found that the startup numbers are only different my a millisecond or two... so you can work from the 550 numbers as a minimum.

Ok, I just replaced the gaskets with new ones, and there is still a small leak.. ****!!

Patrick, the blown gasket is more likely a fault of a warped flange based on your new leak... and NOT due to an issue with the log manifold itself.

Only costs a few bucks to have a shop flatted a flange like that... but I'd bet it's the issue.. ever leak I've had at the exhaust manifold (other than from broken welds) has been from flange issues.

I'd also be reasonably confident it is the same with yours becaue of it leaking in the same spot even with a new gasket in place. The question is if it is the flange at the mani or the flange at the wastegate.

I thought we had 280cc injectors stock?

I was very much under the impression they were 227cc.. let me look and I'll see if I can verify or not right now.

apparently mild dislexia took hold on the number for me.. 272 versus 227 :)

Cool, I thought I remember everyone saying they were 280's. Gotta love them brain farts!(thumb)

Ok, apearently there has been some mis-information spread around about how I run my Haltech, and it is time to clear it up. Some folks seem to think that I have about 5 maps that I keep on my laptop to get my car to run depending on the weather. Not true. This info probably surfaced over a year ago when I was still doing the initial tuning, and was in Arizona. It's no secret that when you have a stand alone, you have to tune it to start properly in different weather conditions, and I was only beginning back then. I had to load a different map to get my car to start at the Mental Addiction Dyno day, and everyone saw. So, all the maps I had in place were to keep track of me trying different things, and seeing if they worked...Period. Most of the time, the weather is so jacked up in Texas, that there is no pattern where you will be able to tune for one weather temp... I have seen some amazing things here locally with the Haltech on Protege's with no issues. I changed my EMS, because I had always planned on getting a Stand Alone, and the opportunity came. I like the control I have over EVERYTHING, and the functions.

I thought you only ran two one for most of the time and another for cold starts like the last time your were at my house and it was in the 30's or so...

Could be another one of those threads that turned into MPI vs Haltech vs Microtech vs everything else, etc.

he said he doesn't need to do this anymore... at least that what I thought he said, we were putting springs and struts on his car and was hard to hear..

Update:

Finally sent my Xenarc screen off on the 29th of Dec. and got it back on the 11th of Jan. I put it in this week, and man does it feel good to have GPS and System monitoring again for the ride!!! This morning I went outside to start my car. Since it was outside all night, and a cold front came in last night, I had some starting issues. I can always get my car started by loading up Juan's 440cc map if I can't start it. It doesn't get that cold down here much, so don't get much time to tune for cold weather. After I got my car started (about 5 minutes, because I try making my own adjustments first, and if that doesn't work..Juan's Map is loaded just for starting), I went and made my coolant and air correction maps mimic the 440cc maps as much as possible. This is something that I believe will work now that the map is tuned well enough now.

OH, and my EXEDY clutch came in yesterday! Hopefully I will be installing it this weekend sometime. I need to go pick up my flywheel from the machine shope now. I'm out!
