Lighting decision

(help) Help? I have an '03 Protege LX with stock front bumper, no fog lights.. I'm trying to decide whether to get stock foglights or aftermarkets.. I'd prefer aftermarket, but I don't know where I'd put them? Any help or pictures (preferably pictures (pics) ) would be awesome.

I have the same car. I had a tuner place here (Car Boutique in Wheeling) put Piaa black 1400's in the stock fog light area. About$325 though and it took almost 4 hours to do it. Apparently they couldn't find a solid way to mount them taking out the odd shaped filler panel so what they did was cut the little filler panels so they became a frame for the little fogs. It does look better than the smallish lights would in just that open area. I'm glad I didn't have to figure out the mounting and aiming of them, with my limited set of tools and fab skills. I'll take a picture tonight and post it tomorrow if I can figure out how to do that.

Because of the odd shaped opening you might consider getting the stocks, with possibly different bulbs if you want an amber color light as I did. Depending on the price of the stock fogs and hookup.

Thanx. I'm not sure how much the stock fogs are, but I'd have to get them from the dealership. I can do it myself, I have enough tools, skill, and experience in mounting lights. (I wired my friends show-quality neons and systems a couple times)

I wanna see the pics of what you got, but i wouldn't mind seeing pics of anybody who fitted aftermarkets into the inner grill

Stocks will fit better, and wire up easier. I think Mazdastuff has the accessory kit for less than $200.

foglight pics

Here are my PIAA 1400's in a 2003 LX. Hope if helps.
