Liftgate panel questions

Okay, first of all, do I seriously have to take off the entire liftgate interior panel and remove the lock cylinder just to change the stupid license plate lights?

And second, are there any bolts or anything holding that panel on, or is it just a pull straight down and pop it loose all the way around sort of affair? Any particular spots I should worry about breaking anything?

no you dont, below is how to take off the lens

Yeah, I have that page. It's the "Remove the rear finisher (See 09-16-3 REAR FINISHER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)" part that was getting to me. That part says to remove the "rear finisher" you have to take off the inside panel and remove the lock cylinder, then twist out a couple clamps and take out the bolts on the outside and I'm sitting here going, dammit, I just need to change the damn bulb!

It's alright though, I got them out and back in without messing with all that. It's just a ridiculously cramped little area to work in and my skinny piano fingers aren't quite strong enough. lol

lol, ya it is kinda dumb how they mention that part about the finisher. but all that matters is that you changed your bulbs!:P
