2016.5 CX-5 Replacement Liftgate Panel

I've been looking to replace this panel for the last year or so, but i've held off because I wasn't sure what all parts I needed. Both side are cracked and because of that the rear cover won't stay connected to the panel.

Has anyone replaced this panel themselves? Not sure if I need just the panel itself or an assortment of clips/connectors. Any input is appreciated!

Have you tried taking it off to see how it's attached? Or looking at an on-line parts break down to see what p[arts are associated with it? My guess is it's just a pop-on/pop-off assembly with no additional "button retainers".

I have replaced this type of panel before, if both sides are cracked, in addition to the panel you may need to buy some clips or connectors because these are easy to break when removing. It is best to check carefully before ordering, there are places that sell panel + clip combos.
