Lexus LFA

It's
WAY WAY WAY...
more than just horsepower with a car like the LFA.
And that's a gross understatement.

lol

so true. I would the LFA over the GT-R anyday. Not only is it way more rare, but the interior is freaking awesome, and everything is higher quality than the GT-R. Yes its nice, but its an $80,000 Nissan compared to a $400,000 Lexus...

idk, i just feel like the money your spending on this car you should see more. My friend bought a charger for 15k that is putting out the same hp.

I can buy a used Evo for $30K with 1000hp. So why would anyone buy a Bugatti Veyron for 1.3 mil?

Because one thing you can do with a Bugatti is point at an 1000hp Evo on the street and say " I make more money than that wanker" lol.

I don't know if you meant this to be tongue-in-cheek, but the LFA only revs to half of what the current F1 engines go up to. They're small displacement (2.4L) V8, so they have a pretty short stroke and can spin really fast (limited to 18,000).

I'll say that the LFA sounds awesome, though. It seems like such a smooth engine with a wide and flat powerband, which is perfect.

it was a comparison, not to be taken literaly but there is no way they could make a street legal f1 style performance car, this is pretty much as close as u can get. so much technolgy and craftsmenship went into the design on this car. its soo impressive.

I like this angle better. idk the front just doesnt look right

Hmmmm.......interesting. If it weren't for the LFA and Lexus symbol, I'd swear that was an Audi R8 (from the rear view). eerily similar...

you guys gotta read some of the articles on this car. it's been in the works for like 10 years or something, and something like toyota loses money on each one they sold.

toyota had to build a brand new machine just to make some of the carbon fiber components. the exact center of gravity in the car is like an inch under the steering wheel, and a whole bunch of other crazy stats

sure, there are cars that out perform the LFA at fractions of the price, but that's just not why toyota made it

in all honesty, the best bang-for-your-buck is, and has been for a while, a corvette.

This is no joke. My friend just picked up an '02 Z06 (405HP) with 35,000 miles for $23,000.

Agreed. But as it stands the commercial is cool, just not the best representation of the car.

Go to Gallery->Video on the web page linked to in the 1st post. There's 50 seconds of pure sex!

i doubt there will be a recall seing these are hand built. and toyota is not the only hands in this car.

this car is such a joke... the big question is WHY? as i've said before about this elitist expression.... thank,s lexus, for making a (true) sports car that everyone can afford... instead of toyota coming up with a new supra, we get this... i've always loved my toyotas, and i defy any honda to last as long as the ones i've had, but gee whiz guys.

imagine a a new supra, about 350-400 hp for about 32-35k... would sell like crazy.

i think their new supra ended up being the ISF, but overall there hasn't been a decent performance car from the "lower end" toyota line since the supra went away in the latter part of the 90's. i realize that was well within the time of the SUV craze so all the performance RWD's went all but extinct, but plenty of other companies were still doing it

however, that may be why toyota became the giant it is today (save the whole accelleration problem), because they stuck with the economy side when everyone else put most their money into the SUV market

still, i think toyota could have come out with another supra-type car alongside the lexus SC. one would just be more upscale than the other, with the same general power plant

Anyone interested in lending me 350K to buy one and I promise to give you guys all the reviews you want. :)
